Dear Parent

We hope you and your child are looking forward to seeing us in school soon.  As part of our welcome process, we would like to invite all our new Nursery pupils to make something over the summer, bringing it with them when they start school.

This year’s task is to decorate a pebble of any size for our ‘Welcome to the Foundation Phase’ area.  Our Foundation Phase pupils have already got this task in hand, and it would be lovely if our new Nursery children could add some pebbles to it too.

You are welcome to paint and varnish the pebble in any way you and your child choose.

We look forward to seeing their creations in September!

Gobeithio eich bod chi a’ch plentyn yn edrych ymlaen at ddod i’r ysgol yn fuan!  Fel rhan o’n trefniadau, hoffwn wahodd ein plant meithrin newydd i greu rhywbeth dros yr haf, gan ddod a fe gyda nhw wrth iddynt ddechrau ysgol.

Y dasg eleni yw addurno carreg unrhyw faint ar gyfer ein hardal ‘Croeso i’r Cyfnod Sylfaen’.  Mae ein disgyblion Cyfnod Allweddol yn barod yn prysur addurno eu cerrig nhw, a hoffwn weld cerrig ein plant meithrin newydd yn ymuno â’r ardal.

Mae croeso i chi addurno’r carreg unrhyw liw ac unrhyw batrwm.

Edrychwn ymlaen at weld eu creadigaethau ym mis Medi!

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. / Cysylltwch â ni os oes gennych unrhyw ymholiad.

Dear Parent

Provision for new Nursery pupils for September 2021

Firstly may I take this opportunity to thank you for choosing our school. I am sure you will not be disappointed and we are looking forward to seeing your child start an exciting journey with us.

We will plan to admit our nursery intake at the beginning of the academic year in September but as you can appreciate these arrangements could be subject to change. Please be aware any further guidance from Welsh Government/RCT could affect these plans, so during the summer months please keep a regular check on the council and/or school website.

Please come along to a meeting at the school on Thursday 24 June (or Friday 25 June) 2021, 9.30am – 10.30am; we would like to request one parent only attends so we can maintain social distancing and covid-compliant measures. Please ensure the adult attending wears a face mask whilst on school premises – we will be unable to allow anyone in to the meeting without a face covering.  The children will not be expected to attend this meeting with you – we aim to welcome them to school at a later date.

All nursery children will attend school in September on a part time basis (either 5 mornings a week or 5 afternoons a week), on a staggered intake basis so not all children will start on the same day. These details will be provided in due course.

Nursery pupils are expected to wear school uniform (details in the brochure and on our website). If you wish to purchase uniform from the school, and would like to collect the items on the above date, please email your order before 27 May to sian.l.webb@rctcbc.gov.uk.  Payment will need to be made before 23 June online at RCT’s website – see the Online Payments page on our school website for a link and guidance notes.

We look forward to welcoming you to Dolau.

 Yours sincerely

 G D Evans

Headteacher

NB the above meeting is being held twice so that we can operate within restrictions and guidelines etc - your email will detail which day you are invited to attend.
